our mission
inspire. create. empower.
Jam is dedicated to providing transformative art and music experiences and the means to create for those in need.
Jam strives to inspire a movement which utilizes the power of art and music to open minds, heal hearts and inspire the creativity we need to progress as humans, as a community and as a society.
about jam
There is no limit to your creativity when your creativity is not limited.
JAM opened its doors in 2010, since then thousands of children have benefited from the hands-on, process oriented art and music which is JAM’s signature. Whether painting, singing, splatting, spinning, strumming or drumming, children discover that there is no limit to their creativity when their creativity is not limited. Thanks to the generosity of our community, through grants and individual donations, JAM has created programs for children, teens and families from The Open Door Shelter, Neon, The Housing Authority, The Carver Center, Boys and Girls Club of Stamford, Goodwill, Mid Fairfield Community Care Center, Girl Scouts of America, Community Steps, Norwalk 2.0, Norwalk High School Special Needs Transition Program, Brien McMahon High School, Side By Side Charter School, The Future Project and Family & Children Services.
We believe art and music play a critical role in community building, social justice, advocacy, youth development, and health and wellness. We believe art and music can be a powerful conduit to link individuals inspired to serve, and communities and organizations in need. We believe there is an urgency to unite people around these principles. As a 501(c)3, JAM is expanding its art and music outreach, fostering relationships with local organizations and schools and utilizing local creative spaces for our programs.
