Word on the street is, This was the BEST PorchJam ever!  As predicted, we were sold out with 3000 attendees but the routes were less crowded than previous years, the bands slayed and the weather Gods could not have been more benevolent.  I hope the day resides in everyones memory and hearts, reminds us that aside from the party, how music is an integral part of our existence— it heals us, puts anxiety to rest, tunes us into the important stuff and makes everything in the moment feel pretty damn groovy.   PorchJam not only effects us individually but it brings us together as a community.  And this is why we say, Spread the Jam,  because everyone should have this feeling, JAM (via PorchJam) provides transformative art and music experiences and the means to create for those in need.  The world is simply a better place for it.

 

Overall the day was a huge success and we want to thank our Sponsors once again and YOU, for always coming out with big smiles.  Your participation raised a record breaking 200k for art and music scholarships, vacation and after school programming. We are currently putting it to work with Summer Jam Sessions at Factory Underground and look forward to planning for the 2024-25 school year.

 

Thank you to all our volunteers, our Board and our jamazing hosts— shout out to the Van Reesmas and the Balsleys for hosting our VIPs!  Everyone was incredibly gracious and accommodating, we just couldn’t do it without you.
